ABERGAVENNY CASTLE FACTS

Location Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales
Description The castle was originally built around 1090 by Hamelin de Ballon, the Norman conqueror of the area.It was originally a motte and bailey castle, and was rebuilt in stone during the thirteenth century. The present keep was built in Victorian times.
