CRAIGSTON CASTLE FACTS
|
Location Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Description Craigston Castle, built between 1604 and 1607, is a historic home of the Urquhart family. The castle is composed of two main wings connected by a high arch over the entrance. There is a corbelled parapet at the top. There are bases for corner turrets near the top corner of each wing, but the turrets do not appear to have ever been completed. The castle is open to visitors for a few weeks of the year.
